An 8-year-old boy met a tragic fate last night after being hit by a vehicle in Seminole County. The incident involved a Nissan NV van in a residential driveway off of Orange Boulevard, just north of Terra Bona Court, according to details from a ClickOrlando report. The Florida Highway Patrol stated that while reversing the van, the 57-year-old Sanford man driving did not see the child who was behind the van, leading to the fatal accident.
The boy, struck by the van backing up, was later transported to the hospital by the same vehicle’s driver. Upon arrival at Advent Health Lake Mary Hospital, the child was pronounced dead, as WESH reported.
