A Lake County man was rearrested for violating a judge’s order after allegedly attacking his ex-girlfriend days prior.
Officers responded to a battery in progress at an undisclosed Lake County residence around 10:10 p.m. Monday, July 7, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Upon arrival, they found 24-year-old Cole Alan Hough being restrained by one of the witnesses. Hough was detained and immediately stated he was intoxicated.
The officers proceeded to interview Hough’s ex-girlfriend who stated they had ended their seven-year relationship earlier that same day. He asked to speak with her after she had dinner at her mother’s place. Her mother then brought her and her three children to the incident location, the report said.
Once there, Hough started to verbally berate her, prompting her to decide to return to her mother’s home. She went inside to get her things, and he followed her inside. He tried to block her in a room to keep her from leaving, the report said…
