Suspect in Tren De Aragua Gang Case Arrested After Chase Leads to Crash in Orange County

The pursuit of a suspect wanted on a felony warrant led to a dramatic apprehension in Orange County after a chase and crash, according to official reports. Twenty-three-year-old Diego Cardenas-Osorio was stopped by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) in connection with an investigation into a suspected Tren De Aragua Gang house in Clearwater, as reported by WESH.

When the FHP tried to stop him on a warrant from Osceola County, he fled, leading to a chase that ended with Osorio’s vehicle crashing into a fence in the Pine Castle area. He took off on foot, leaving a female passenger behind in the crashed vehicle, as detailed by WFTV. The scene unfolded on Datura Drive and Nela Avenue, northwest of Orlando International Airport.

Delgado described the tense sequence in which authorities located Osorio, “Right in here they found him,” indicating his shed, where the suspect was discovered hiding. “So they searched the front of the house, which it was the boat and they didn’t find anything. They came over here and they found him… scary,” Delgado said, as per WESH report. Following the discovery, Osorio was promptly taken into custody and is now facing additional charges that include hit and run, burglary, and immigration-related offenses…
