“Don’t Do This In Our Name”: Families Urge Florida To Halt Execution Of Curtis Windom

Curtis Windom’s Children and Victim’s Relatives Plead for Mercy, Citing Forgiveness and a Flawed Clemency Process

The children of Curtis Windom and relatives of at least one of his victims are pleading with Florida officials to halt his scheduled August 28 execution. His family, who have forgiven Windom for the 1992 murders he committed, say the state is ignoring their voices and failing to consider their perspective in the clemency process.

Windom, 59, was convicted of a triple murder in Orange County and has been on death row for over three decades. Governor Ron DeSantis signed a death warrant for Windom on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

“No one in our family wants this execution,” said Windom’s daughter, Curtisia Windom. “We’ve already lived through the horror of that day, and we’ve spent the last 33 years trying to heal. I have forgiven my father. My brothers have forgiven my father.”…
