Orange County deputies try to ID woman nicknamed ‘Miss Wekiva’ in 1993 cold case

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is attempting to identify a woman nicknamed “Miss Wekiva” in a 1993 cold case.

The sheriff’s office on Tuesday posted on social media about the case from April 1993.

The woman’s remains were found on April 22, 1993, in the woods near Piedmont Wekiwa Road and North Orange Blossom Trail. Deputies said her body was estimated to have been there about three to six weeks and that she had been fatally shot…
