Neighbor from hell escapes serious punishment after chaotic night in The Villages

A neighbor from hell has escaped serious punishment after a chaotic night in The Villages.

Lori Ann Colagrande, 62, who lives at 7189 Denver Ave. in the Village of Lake Denham, pleaded no contest this past week in Lake County Court to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct. She had originally faced charges of misuse of 911, resisting arrest and trespassing. Those charges were dropped in exchange for her plea. She would have been placed on probation for six months, but she avoided probation by paying $357 in fines. She has also been ordered to have no contact with her neighbors. She did not appear in court and was represented by attorney Nicholas Stack.

She was arrested Jan. 8 after a chaotic night which began when a neighbor got a security alert at about 3 a.m.

Colagrande used a broom to knock down the neighbor’s security camera, then picked up the camera and looked directly into it, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Colagrande proceeded to bang on the side of the neighbor’s house with the broom…
