Photos: Orlando rallied and repainted at the Pulse crosswalk under a double rainbow

Was there a double rainbow? Yes, there was and we’ll take it as a sign of provenance for the Orlandoans who gathered at the crosswalk outside of Pulse to rally and do a little repainting on Thursday. Roughly 100 folks gathered with flags, signs, chalk and spray paint to both make their outrage heard over the state painting the rainbow crosswalk black in the dead of night the day before … and to repaint the crosswalk, DIY-style, in the original rainbow color scheme. Speakers included City Commissioner Patty Sheehan and Sen. Carlos Guillermo Smith and the rain did nothing to dampen the gathered crowd’s fervor and emotion…
