140 in a 70: ‘Super speeder’ arrested in Orlando told deputy he was late for work, records show

ORLANDO, Fla. – An Orange County deputy arrested a so-called super speeder Thursday on State Road 417 whom they clocked going 140 mph in a 70-mph zone, according to the sheriff’s office.

Jordan Vactor, 43, was arrested that evening near Lake Nona Boulevard to face a charge of dangerous excessive speeding.

Vactor was allegedly behind the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz that a deputy in an unmarked vehicle began to follow north on S.R. 417 after watching it pass them at around 100 mph, according to his arrest affidavit…
