Remorseful thief returns stolen $475 figurine to comic-book store

A Windermere man will have to appear in court for stealing a $475 figurine from a comic-book store in Clermont.

An officer responded to Windu’s Comics and Collectibles, 194 U.S. Hwy. 27, Suite A, regarding stolen merchandise at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, according to a case report from the Clermont Police Department. The owner advised that 39-year-old Ricardo Raphael Marcelo had already left with a collectible, but he was on his way back.

The owner explained that Marcelo had called into the store earlier that day, asking about various items inside. He later came into the store and traded four boxed collectibles for one Batman item.
