A Clermont man who works as a chef at Walt Disney World has been arrested on a charge of animal.
A deputy responded to a battery involving an animal at the residence of 47-year-old Travis Daniel Kollman, located at 12204 Woodglen Circle, around 9 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival, the deputy spoke to Lollman’s wife who said he went “ballistic and beat the dog.” He was upset over financial issues and took his frustration out on their boxer “Cassie” by hitting her with the wife’s cane. He struck the dog a couple times and hit her so hard it caused the cane to break, the report said.
The deputy observed a small trail of reddish pink marks on the floor that seemed wet with a sticky consistency. He also saw a wooden can that was broken by the handle. He did not see any distinguishing physical injuries on the dog, the report said.
Kollman stated he got upset with the dog because it ran out of the house and attacked the neighbor’s dog. He struck the dog outside on her behind for doing it, the report said…
