Young Americans for Freedom at UCF hosted a flag planting event on Thursday to remember those who died in the 9/11 attacks — 24 years after the twin towers were struck.
The club brought 2,977 mini American flags, representing the number of lives lost that day, available to those walking by to place one down outside Trevor Colbourn Hall. Attendees could grab as many as they desired and could also take some free merchandise on their way out.
