$15.8 Million Pledged for Two Affordable Housing Communities in Orange County

$15.8 million was pledged to support two affordable housing communities under construction, which will receive additional funding support from Orange County government.

The Orange County Board of County Commissioners approved impact fee exemptions for Barnett Villas, a 156-unit apartment community nearing completion in Pine Hills, and Enclave at Canopy Park, a 104-unit apartment community that recently broke ground in Holden Heights in Orlando.

Both developments will be rented to low-income households whose average household income does not exceed 80 percent of the area median income.

Barnett Villas, expected to open by early 2026, will receive an impact fee exemption of $2.2 million, in addition to $9.3 million the County has already committed to the project through its Affordable Housing Trust Fund and the American Rescue Plan Act…
