NEWS: Orlando Airport’s Second-Busiest Airline to Cut Hundreds of Employees

One of the largest passenger carriers at Orlando International Airport is cutting its workforce.

Spirit Airlines has faced a tough year financially. In August, the budget airline filed for bankruptcy for the second time in less than a year. Since then, it has made several cost-cutting measures, including ending service to a dozen cities. And soon, more Spirit Airlines cuts are set to impact Orlando.

Earlier this week, Spirit Airlines announced that it will soon furlough 1,800 employees nationwide, including hundreds of Orlando-based employees.
