16-year-old in stolen car crashes into building after 100 mph chase on I-4: FHP

ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — A 16-year-old boy driving a stolen car led troopers on a high-speed chase down Interstate 4 early Monday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The teen was spotted just after midnight near Orlando after fleeing from deputies in Volusia County, according to an FHP report obtained by NBC affiliate WESH.

Several law enforcement officers tried to get the teen to stop but said he refused to pull over. The teen managed to avoid a PIT maneuver and continued speeding down I-4, the report said.

Authorities said the 16-year-old reached 100 mph before exiting the highway. Troopers were then able to stop him with a second PIT maneuver…
