ORLANDO, Fla. — For families raising children with disabilities, helping them reach their full potential and find a lifelong home where they can safely live, work and play can be challenging. But now, a couple is building a first-of-its-kind community in Central Florida — a place they call “Hopetown.”
For more than 20 years, Tim and Marie Kuck have been advocates for people with disabilities. Together they founded Nathaniel’s Hope in 2002, a nonprofit organization that focuses on assisting children with special needs and their families.
Earlier this year, the Kucks purchased 210 acres to add to the 171 acres they had already acquired in 2022. The 381-acre site will serve as the foundation for Hopetown, a vibrant and inclusive residential and employment community for people of all abilities.
“It’s a large piece of property that has tremendous potential, and we’re very excited about leveraging its used to bless families that have kids and adults that may have some kind of disability,” Tim said…
