Wanted man nabbed in Sanford months after fatal shooting, police say

SANFORD, Fla. – A man wanted in a murder case out of Riviera Beach earlier this year was finally caught in Sanford, according to law enforcement.

In a release, Riviera Beach police said that the man — identified as Alphonso Lingo, 30 — was wanted for the shooting death of 61-year-old Lorenzo Pugh on the morning of Aug. 21.

At the time, police had responded to a 911 hang-up call and found Pugh inside the home, officers said. He was pronounced dead at the scene…
