Woman loses tooth in fight she started with her sisters at Winn-Dixie

A Clermont woman was arrested for battery after a crowd of witnesses stated she started a fight with her sisters in the Winn-Dixie parking lot.

An officer responded to the Winn-Dixie parking lot, located at 684 State Road 50, to intervene in a fight between 37-year-old Tyria Ann Harrison and her two sisters around 2:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, according to an arrest report from the Clermont Police Department.

Upon arrival, he found a large group of people gathered around a gray vehicle. The scene looked chaotic as the crowd formed a circle around Harrison in the passenger seat. The altercation had drawn a lot of attention from bystanders and other individuals in the parking lot, the report said.

The officer immediately started talking to witnesses who identified Harrison as the aggressor. The fight began as a heated verbal argument that escalated into a physical confrontation. Harrison, who initiated physical contact, sustained various wounds on her face to include a missing tooth, the report said…
