Seminole County, FL – Residents are being warned about an alarming phone scam in which callers impersonate law enforcement officers from the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO). Officials said the fraudsters are targeting residents by claiming there is an arrest warrant or a missed jury duty fine that can be resolved with payment over the phone.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, scammers often use spoofed numbers that appear legitimate on caller ID.
