Davenport man charged in fatal Poinciana crash Thursday night

Tragedy struck in the final hour of Thanksgiving when a Davenport man was charged with DUI manslaughter after the Florida Highway Patrol said he caused a crash that killed two people on Poinciana Parkway late Thursday.

According to an FHP spokesperson, Eddy Edmond, 44 was arrested and booked into the Osceola County Jail overnight.

Troopers say an Acura MDX driven by Edmond was headed westbound on Poinciana Parkway just after 11:40 p.m., and failed to stop for a Hyundai Tucson driven by a 34-year-old Kissimmee man, and crashed into it. The impact caused the Tucson to overturn, the FHP report said, and collide with a Ford F-150 truck just ahead of it…
