Florida’s Turnpike Reopens After Overnight Multi-Vehicle Crash in Orange County

Early this morning, a multi-vehicle crash forced the closure of a section of Florida’s Turnpike in Orange County. According to FOX 35 Orlando, the incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. near mile marker 257 and involved two tractor-trailers among five vehicles. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that fuel spilled onto the roadway as a result of the crash.

The southbound lanes of Florida’s Turnpike were blocked for hours, stretching from Interstate 4 to State Road 528. As crews worked diligently on clean-up, the traffic was diverted, causing significant backups.
