Flat Tire Leads Polk County Deputies To Probationer After Fort Meade Hit-And-Run

A Kissimmee man hoping to avoid a police interaction early Saturday morning ended up in handcuffs after his getaway vehicle let him down less than a mile from the scene of a crash.

The incident began around 1:38 a.m. on December 6, when the Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a hit-and-run on US 17 at Vigiron Road. The other driver involved told dispatchers that a black Nissan Altima had struck her vehicle and immediately fled the area without stopping.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the collision…
