Ex-girlfriend purposely rams ex-beau’s car at night spot in Clermont

A Clermont woman was arrested for twice hitting her ex-boyfriend’s car with her own after a couple arguments in a bar parking lot.

An officer responded to The Roasted Spirit, located at 756 W Montrose St., regarding a hit-and-run crash at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, according to an arrest report from the Clermont Police Department. The ex-boyfriend of 31-year-old Samantha Marie Alvarenga advised that she struck his vehicle and drove off after they got into an argument.

He explained she had shown up at the bar, and they got into a fight over her giving back his phone, which he had left in the car the day before. His vehicle, a white 2017 Lincoln, was parked in a handicap space, and her vehicle, a white 2014 Ford, was next to his. After their argument, she threw his phone from her vehicle. When he went to look for it, she accelerated forward and hit the front driver’s side bumper of his car before leaving the parking lot, the report said.

The officer inspected the ex-boyfriend’s car and found several small scratches on the front bumper. There was also a piece of broken plastic on the ground that seemed to be from a different vehicle, the report said…
