A woman was recently arrested for using a child to help her commit retail theft in Central Florida.
The retail theft occurred at the Dick’s Sporting Goods store in Davenport’s Posner Park.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the theft was committed by an adult female who used a male juvenile, approximately 9-year-old, to assist her.
The suspect took a $35 hoodie off a shelf, and put it on the boy. The two then went to a check-out lane, and the woman paid for a pair of baseball cleats with cash, but did not pay for the hoodie, according to local law enforcement…
