“We Are Tired and We Outta Here”: Echoes of Retro Is Closing in Ivanhoe Village

Echoes of Retro, the vintage treasure cave on Virginia Drive in Ivanhoe Village, is calling it.

In a recent Instagram post, owners Marvin and Wendy announced they’re officially “retiring from the grind,” adding, “WE ARE TIRED AND WE OUTTA HERE.” Honest. Iconic. Very on brand.

The shop’s last day open is December 31, and everything inside is priced to move, so if you’ve ever talked yourself out of buying that credenza, lamp, jacket, or vinyl record you absolutely did not need but deeply wanted, this is your moment.

For years, Echoes of Retro has been a go-to for refurbished mid-century furniture, vintage clothing from the ’60s–’80s, vinyl records, and eclectic home finds, anchoring Ivanhoe Village’s reputation as a neighborhood for people who like their stuff with a little soul and a lot of history.
