ORLANDO, Fla. – A violent collision early Friday morning has claimed the life of a young motorcyclist and shut down a major roadway in Orange County. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) confirmed the fatality occurred on Landstar Boulevard near State Road 417 just as the morning rush began.
According to troopers, the crash happened minutes before 6:30 a.m. An 18-year-old Orlando man was driving a 2019 Subaru Impreza northbound on Landstar Boulevard. Simultaneously, a 20-year-old man from Kissimmee was riding a 2007 KTM motorcycle southbound on the same road.
Investigators determined that the driver of the Subaru attempted to make a left turn, crossing directly into the path of the oncoming motorcycle. The maneuver caused the right side of the sedan to strike the bike…
