Habitual traffic offender arrested after traffic stop near Blue Parrot campground

A habitual traffic offender was arrested with a revoked license after being stopped for driving with just her fog lights on near an RV campground in Lady Lake.

An officer spotted 27-year-old Taprasha Nigeria Parker of Apopka driving a black Nissan Maxima without working taillights at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. Seeing this, he conducted a traffic stop near the Blue Parrot RV Resort, located at 40840 County Road 25.

When told about the taillights, Parker looked at the driving column and realized she had not turned on the headlights, either. She had been driving with just the fog lights on, the report said.

The officer subsequently asked for her driver’s license, to which she stated she did not have one. She had gotten a notice in the mail that it had been revoked. Indeed, a check of her driving history revealed three prior convictions from Feb. 2023, April 2024 and July 2024, with a recently revoked license on Aug. 14, 2024, labeled as “habitual offender,” the report said…
