Earlier this month, Clermont City Councilors approved an application to allow the city’s Walmart to use drones to make customer deliveries.
The council voted 4-1 to approve two variances to allow the drone service to operate in the city, making it the first Walmart zoning hub in Florida.
At the meeting, there was a lot of discussion and questions about the hub from councilors who have never had to vote on anything like this before.
