ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — Universal is facing five new lawsuits from people who claim Epic Universe’s Stardust Racers, the attraction which Kevin Rodriguez Zavala died after riding, is unsafe.
The lawsuits were filed on behalf of past riders who each said they were left with severe and permanent injuries, some including neck pain and paralysis, according to reports by local news outlet WESH.
The plaintiffs argue that there was negligence in how the roller coaster was designed, as well as in its operation, maintenance and control. Mack Rides, the company that built the attraction, is also listed as a defendant in the suits…
