Federal Prison For Former Kissimmee Cop Who Targeted Minor Victim While On Patrol

ORLANDO, Fla. – A former officer with the Kissimmee Police Department has been sentenced to seven years in federal prison for exploiting his position to solicit explicit material from a minor.

U.S. District Judge Julie S. Sneed handed down the sentence to Dariel Javier Quiles-Davila, 27, earlier today. The sentencing follows a trial in August 2025, where a federal jury found the former law enforcement officer guilty of receiving child sexual abuse material.

According to evidence presented in court, Quiles-Davila’s crimes began in October 2023 while he was actively on duty. Prosecutors established that he met the minor victim during a shift and used that interaction to secure the child’s contact information…
