Death investigation shut down part of I-4 eastbound in downtown Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. All eastbound lanes of Interstate 4 in downtown Orlando shut down early Monday due to a death investigation, according to the Orlando Police Department.

The incident happened just before 6 a.m. near the South Street exit at mile marker 83.

At one point, traffic was backed up to Michigan Street, before officials began diverting traffic to the surface roads and the I-4 Express lanes.
