World’s first ‘Slotharium’ opening in Orlando, and it’s worth the drive

If you have ever looked at a sloth and thought, “Finally, an animal that matches my emotional pace in I-275 traffic,” Orlando is about to become your spiritual home.

Sloth World is set to open on International Drive in February 2026, and it is being marketed as the world’s first “slotharium,” which sounds like something a Victorian scientist would build after a few too many glasses of sherry.

Here’s why it is worth the drive from Tampa: it is a one of a kind, guided, small group animal experience designed to be calm, quiet, and rainforest-y, in a part of Orlando that is usually none of those things. The attraction is slated for a 7,500 square foot indoor habitat at 6582 International Drive, with the company saying it will be home to more than 40 sloths across multiple species…
