Jersey Mike’s Drops First-Ever Grilled Italian Sub to Kick Off 70th Anniversary Celebration

Jersey Mike’s celebrates 70 years by introducing the Mike’s Hot Italian sub, their first-ever grilled Italian meat sandwich.

Move over cheesesteaks, there is a new hot favorite in town. To celebrate its landmark 70th anniversary, Jersey Mike’s Subs has officially announced the nationwide launch of a brand-new menu innovation: the Mike’s Hot Italian sub. Available for a limited time, this marks the first time in the company’s seven-decade history that it has introduced a hot, grilled version of an Italian sub.

Starting this week, fans can head to more than 3,200 neighborhood locations across the country (including near Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort) to experience this new flavor profile. The Mike’s Hot Italian sub is a savory sandwich, featuring a blend of premium ham, salami, and pepperoni. Unlike the traditional cold version, these meats are chopped by hand right on the grill and smothered in melted provolone cheese.

To round out the experience, the sandwich is topped with grilled onions, fresh lettuce, and tomato. The finishing touch is the chain’s signature Hot Chopped Pepper Relish, affectionately known by loyal customers as “CPR.”

“We’ve served up a lot of delicious subs since 1956, and incredibly, Mike’s Hot Italian is our first Italian sub hot off the grill,” said Stacy Peterson, president and chief operating officer of Jersey Mike’s. “Our fans let us know they’re hungry for it, so we created this bold new flavor profile that brings together hot chopped Italian meats, melty cheese and our mouth-watering CPR for an experience we think our customers will crave long after their last bite.”…
