Slow-moving Mercedes-Benz on SR-408 in Orlando leads to FHP pursuit, man’s arrest

ORLANDO, Fla. – A man arrested Wednesday in Orlando is accused of trying to flee from the Florida Highway Patrol after an attempted traffic stop on State Road 408.

Khamari Green, 21, faces charges of leaving the scene of a crash causing property damage, driving while license suspended/revoked, reckless driving, and fleeing and/or eluding, FHP said in a statement to News 6.

A trooper was conducting traffic enforcement on westbound S.R. 408, west of State Road 426, when he saw a Mercedes-Benz traveling at a low rate of speed in S.R. 408’s inside westbound lane, the statement reads. The trooper tried to conduct a traffic stop on the Mercedes-Benz but began to pursue it after the driver first appeared to slow on the paved median, then sped up and re-entered the westbound lanes, FHP said…
