Raglan Road in Disney Springs was celebrating something VERY special. Something that we’re a big fan of, but a lot of people may not realize is a holiday.
Just yesterday, we heard that today is National Irish Coffee Day, and Raglan Road would be celebrating in a big way. So when we were invited to head over and try some of their delicious Irish Coffee and other wonderful dining options, we said YES PLEASE! It just goes to show, again and again, how Raglan Road is almost incapable of letting us down.
Today, we were invited to head over to Raglan Road to try some of their incredible Irish Coffee, check out their wonderful Irish dancing, and snack on some of their other menu offerings, which we can never get enough of.
We started off with a tasting of the Lost Irish Whiskey that Raglan Road uses in their Irish Coffee, and we even got to talk with Tim, the founder of Lost Irish Whiskey! He told us that the idea of it came from the idea of being Irish and having a sense of wanderlust and adventure. The whiskey has some fruity notes and a very easy finish, making it beyond simple to sip on. Did you know Raglan Road is the first Florida location to offer Lost Irish Whiskey? How cool!
The Irish Coffee itself was warm and smooth — it was so easy going down we almost forgot there was alcohol in it, so it can be dangerous! For this event in particular, if you buy the coffee, Raglan Road buys the whiskey, saving you a bit of money and making it a fun event every year. It was the perfect way to warm up on a cooler day.
We also got to try the Pretzels with Beer Braised Onion Cheese Sauce, and this was a match made in heaven. The spice of the onions brings a balance to the richness of the cheese, and the pretzels are perfectly soft and buttery. The pretzels are actually potato-based, which gives them a different texture altogether that we loved!
When Ireland Dates America is one of our FAVORITE offerings here, because it’s cubes of fried mac and cheese topped with pickled onions, cheese, and edible flowers, and they blow us away every time. The flavors all go together beautifully, it’s so creamy, and even picky eaters will approve (it’s me, I’m the picky eater who approves!).
The Steak Agus Eggs is a stunning dish, and one of our top suggestions if you’re traveling to the restaurant for brunch. It’s a perfectly runny sunny side up egg on medium rare steak with some cheese, caramelized onions, and wild sautéed mushrooms, chimichurri, butter, and maple glaze, all on top of a buttermilk biscuit waffle. It sounds like there would be a lot going on, but it was so fun to get different flavors in each bite. It helped that the steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned, adding that deep, savory flavor — we’d get it again and again!
Then it was time for dessert! The Ger’s Bread & Butter Pudding is described as being like none other you’ve ever had, and WOW, is that correct. It’s so perfectly soft and sweet, the custard is perfectly saturated throughout, resulting in each bite just melting in your mouth. It’s a must-get, trust us!
The Cheesecake Bake is baked strawberry cheesecake with vanilla cream cheese and glazed strawberries, and this was perfectly done — not too sweet with a thick graham cracker crust. The strawberries complement the cheesecake without being overpowering, so for those out there who really love cheesecake on its own, this is a fantastic choice!
Finally, we also got to try the Got Chocolate?, which is made with double chocolate mousse, caramel sauce, and a chocolate brownie. Chocolate lovers will adore this one, especially since the balance of flavors between dark and milk chocolate is perfect, and the crunchy bits on top help break up the creamy texture. With each bite, you’ll feel like the chocolate is melting in your mouth in the best way!
We had such a wonderful time at the event, and it reminds us why we love this restaurant so much. Whether you’re going for brunch, lunch, or dinner, you’ll find solid dining options that are great for everyone in your group at prices that won’t break the bank.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest Disney World news, so stay tuned to AllEars!
