ORLANDO, Florida — Keith Oelerich, a 62-year-old from Apopka, has been sentenced to five years and five months in federal prison for wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.
U.S. District Judge Julie S. Sneed handed down the sentence, which includes an order of forfeiture amounting to $17,964,680, the proceeds of the wire fraud offense, according to U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe. Oelerich, owner of Empire Sheds and More, LLC, pleaded guilty on September 22, 2025.
Court documents reveal that starting in December 2018, Oelerich entered an agreement with a loan financing company, submitting rent-to-own contracts for portable storage sheds. However, between December 2018 and September 2023, he created 1,043 fraudulent agreements using others’ personal information, leading to payments totaling $17,964,680 for non-existent sheds…
