A Seminole County man was killed in a Jan. 29 crash in Daytona Beach minutes after his Jeep SUV struck another vehicle on State Road A1A in Daytona Beach Shores, a police report states.
Data from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles suggests it was the first fatal crash in Volusia County in 2026.
Michael Charles Wilson, 68, of Geneva, was killed in the crash in Daytona Beach, according to a Daytona Beach Shores police report. Details on the fatal wreck are scant because the Daytona Beach police have not yet released a crash report.
