‘Genderbread’ figure sparks investigation at Seminole County high school

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – News 6 has confirmed that a Seminole County teacher is under investigation after reportedly teaching about a “Genderbread” figure in the classroom.

Earlier this month, a viewer submitted a tip that the AP Literature teacher at Lake Howell High School used the figure in her lesson, which apparently sparked backlash among parents.

According to the tipster, the teacher used a slide from itspronouncedmetrosexual.com, which defines a “Genderbread Person” as a “cute, approachable model for understanding the social construction of gender, based on the input of thousands of voices over several decades.”…
