Orlando, Florida – Fires could spread out of control within minutes after 3 p.m. Sunday as gusty northwest winds and falling humidity create critical wildfire conditions across East Central Florida.
According to the National Weather Service in Melbourne, a Red Flag Warning is in effect from 3 p.m. Sunday until midnight Sunday night for Volusia, Lake, Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties. Northwest winds will increase to around 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph, while relative humidity drops to between 30 and 45 percent.
