Another arrest has been made in the alleged theft of a $40,000 gold chain.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said 18-year-old Jayden James Wells of Big Coppitt Key was arrested Tuesday on criminal mischief charges related to the theft of the gold chain.
“Detectives learned Wells used a drill and a grinding stone to remove identifying engravings on the stolen gold chain as part of their ongoing investigation in which the initial suspect, 38-year-old Alicia Marie Trottier, was arrested and charged with grand theft on Feb. 18, 2026,” MCSO said in a statement…
