The UCF Board of Trustees approved rental increases for on-campus student housing for the next five years during a board meeting on Feb. 25, resulting in higher costs starting in the upcoming fall semester.
The board voted for an average increase of 21% in single-occupancy housing and 8% in double-occupancy housing across all of its owned and managed communities. The increases build on a previously approved 4% rental increase.
UCF owns 4,879 beds on campus, according to the Department of Housing and Residence Life. This includes the Academic Village, Libro, Apollo, Lake Claire, Greek and Rosen Apartment communities…
