MIDWAY, Ga. (WTOC) – [UPDATE 3:58 p.m.] According to Coastal News Service, citing a Georgia State Patrol trooper on scene, the pedestrian has been identified as 72-year-old Ceymour Thompson of Orange County, Florida.
Officials say Thompson had been reported missing by his spouse to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office the day before the crash. Troopers say the driver who struck him was a 58-year-old Florida man traveling with his wife from Ohio to Florida in a 2020 Volvo XC90.
