Woman allegedly ‘popped up out of nowhere,’ took aim at mother, 3-year-old with rifle

APOPKA, Fla. (WKRC) – A woman was accused of pointing a firearm at a mother and her young child.

According to a statement issued by the Apopka Police Department, 44-year-old Melissa Ironnecklace was taken into custody after she allegedly pointed a firearm at a woman and her child, prompting a swift response from police.

Officers responded to reports of an armed suspect who approached a woman and her three-year-old child while they were out for a walk. According to WOFL, the victim told responding officers that Ironnecklace “popped up out of nowhere” holding a rifle, then asked the child’s age before saying, “happy birthday.”…
