Orlando spending $44 million on affordable housing, homeless issues through Accelerate Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. — The city of Orlando is investing more than $44 million in affordable housing and homeless initiatives.

During a workshop Monday, staff presented city council members with updates on Accelerate Orlando.

The program uses $58 million that initially came from American Rescue Plan Act funding but was used for essential government services in fiscal year 2021-22, a city spokesperson said in an e-mail.
