A Florida theme park and wildlife preserve is mourning the death of its beloved 1,000-pound alligator.
On Wednesday, April 8, Orlando’s Gatorland announced via social media that Buddy the alligator — the largest alligator in the park’s history — died after living at the park for decades.
“It is with a very heavy heart that we share the passing of Buddy, the biggest alligator in Gatorland history,” the park shared. “At 13′ 8” and almost 1,000 pounds, Buddy barely ‘edged out’ ol’ Chester as the biggest gator at Gatorland a few years ago.”…
