History professor, department leader selected for national fellowship

A professor of history at UCF was named one of the 31 American Council on Education fellows for this academic year, the organization announced in a release Wednesday.

Associate Vice Provost of Undergraduate Studies Wayne H. Bowen was one of the fellows selected for this year’s cohort, following a rigorous application process and his nomination by the senior administration at the university.

The ACE Fellows Program, established in 1965, was created to strengthen higher education institutions by preparing faculty and staff for promotions to senior positions in college and university administration.
