KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – On Monday, staff at a Kansas City childcare center got to work and discovered large sections of the fence were taken over the weekend. The owner told KCTV5 everyone was shocked.
“When I saw it, I was enraged. I was very upset,” said Destiney James, the director and owner of Visionary Kids Childcare.
James says after years of hard work, she purchased property off Highland Ave. and started renovations to get the building to code. She spent thousands on the fencing alone, going through the process of getting a permit from the city to build it taller than 4 ft. to protect the kids while they play outside. She got her state and city licenses and moved her 24-hour childcare center in a few months ago…
