‘Extremely high rate of speed’: Motorcyclist dies in Kansas City crash

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A motorcyclist is dead after an evening crash in Kansas City, and police note that traffic fatalities are currently outpacing last year’s.

The Kansas City Police Department says the crash happened just after 7:50 p.m. near Richmond and 67th St.

Investigators note that a Kawasaki motorcycle was headed west on 67th St. at “an extremely high rate of speed” when a Ford F-250 pulling a trailer turned left from southbound Richmond Ave.

Police say the Ford had nearly completed the turn when the motorcycle struck the trailer. The rider was thrown from the bike and pronounced deceased at the scene…
