KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Transportation Security Administration’s Federal Air Marshal Service has deployed a team to Kansas City to help protect the public during World Cup events, working alongside federal and state law enforcement.
Federal Air Marshal Assistant Special Agent in Charge Bengy Tanner and his team traveled from Chicago to conduct ground-based operations around Union Station and Fan Fest. Tanner said the agency has been planning these operations for more than a year and a half.
“Safety and security of everyone in Kansas City is our first and foremost priority,” Tanner said.
