The opening of a Johnson County brewery and beer garden was ushered in with the blaring of five alphorns: long, wooden instruments traditionally used by herders in the mountains of Central Europe.
It’s all-German everything at KC Bier Co.’s new location in Lenexa — 18030 W. 83rd St. — down to the woodwork and cuckoo clocks ticking on the walls.
