Woman who led police on high speed chase had grandchild in back seat, authorities say

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A woman wanted in the Kansas City metro for many retail thefts led police on a high-speed chase through Clay County Tuesday night.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office said 41-year-old Jessica Stewart has been charged with four felonies following an incident just before 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25.

Authorities said the suspect had expired temporary tags and was located at about 5:40 p.m. near NE 48th Street and Brighton in Kansas City, Missouri…
